Next Generation have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Category Manager with a leading FMCG Organisation. This is a 12 month contract with the strong possibility that it will be extended. An attractive part to this role is that it you will develop and lead a strategic project for one of it’s leading brands. Our Client’s has some Number 1 brands and has an excellent reputation on the marketplace.
The Marketing Department is split in to three areas and the successful candidate will report to the Head of Shopper Marketing. This is a maternity cover but there are a lot of ongoing projects. This person must have experience in dealing with major retailers and senior management.
Key Responsibilities:
- To manage an important project whilst using consumer insight to deliver the best range for the customer while maximising cash profit.
- To use customer and sales data available and to deliver of snapshot of category performance.
- Present results and action plans to senior teams.
- Work closely with the Nielsen reps on site to communicate a suite of weekly & monthly reports for the Buying teams.
- To utilise strong knowledge of market place through frequent competitor visits and analysing market research data, retailer feedback and supplier insights to determine consumer demands and key product ranges
- To deliver objectives on time and under pressure, with a proactive approach to problem solving.
Key Requirements:
- 3-4 years experience in Category Management
- Strong Customer experience with the ability to build a category case.
- Must have experience dealing with Senior Management level.
