An established global pharmaceutical manufacturing are undergoing considerable expansion in  their local and global manufacturing operations through increased product development and expansion in their contract manufacturing operations both locally and globally . Within the locally based manufacturing in Ireland , out has grown by 200% due increased customer demand . Due to this expansion and as a result of internal restructuring they are looking to hire an Associate Director Process Engineering  to support Manufacturing operations
  • This role will report into a Director of Operations and will be focused on managing a technical team to support the manufacturing group.
  • This role will lead all projects associated with improving manufacturing output including any redesign and improvement of manufacturing and packaging equipment.
  • A key focus of this role will be improve OEE performance of all manufacturing and packaging equipment as the manufacturing  site significantly increases output.
  • This position will require the individual to lead all operation excellence projects in the sire that are focused on increasing manufacturing yields and reducing waste and cost of production.
  • This role will require the individual to lead work cross functionally with quality , supply chain and manufacturing teams to ensure the manufacturing plants output is delivered at optimum levels.
 
Experience Required
  • Degree qualified ideally within a science or engineering discipline with 10-15 years process or manufacturing engineering experience in  life science manufacturing.
  • Strong people management is essential.
  • Drug product experience would be a distinct advantage
  • A lean manufacturing qualification would be a distinct advantage.
