Position: Associate Scientist

Location: Dublin, Ireland (Onsite)

Contract Duration: 12-month contract

Rate: €29.87 Hourly

Step into a high-impact role at the forefront of biologics, where your analytical expertise will directly support advanced manufacturing and next-gen process development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute analytical methods to support biologics manufacturing and process development activities
  • Troubleshoot, remediate, and optimise analytical methods and associated data under moderate supervision
  • Provide analytical support for process characterisation of next-generation biologics processes
  • Collaborate with Quality Control (QC) teams to investigate and resolve technical issues
  • Support the development, qualification, and implementation of new analytical methods for new and existing products
  • Perform periodic reviews of method performance and contribute to continuous improvement strategies
  • Design and execute experiments to enhance robustness and reliability of analytical methods
  • Work cross-functionally and across sites to support method transfer, readiness, and performance in a commercial environment

Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills

  • Degree (PhD, MSc, or BSc) in Biological Sciences, Chemistry, or a related discipline
  • Proven industry experience in biopharmaceutical or biologics development/manufacturing
  • Strong background in analytical methods within late-stage development or commercial biologics environments
  • Hands-on experience with key analytical techniques such as:
    • HPLC
    • Gel and capillary electrophoresis
    • Spectrometry (e.g. UV/Vis, fluorescence)
    • ELISA and related bioassays
  • Experience with method qualification and/or validation
  • Good understanding of regulatory requirements and cGMP laboratory practices
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
