H&S Manager

H&S Manager 

(Permanent – Roscommon / Westmeath / Longford)

My client, a leading FMCG company is looking for an H&S Manager to join their team. This role involves full ownership of the Health and Safety function including ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation. 



  • Oversee and implement all H&S practices, policies and procedures within a fast paced environment
  • To drive the development of a strong safety culture onsite
  • Conduct inspections/audits of the site, prepare reports and ensure corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner
  • Liaise with relevant Departments in order to ensure the site Emergency Response Plan and Business Continuity Plans are maintained and up to date
  • Review Risk Assessments on a regular basis
  • Provide appropriate H&S training onsite as required
  • Provide H&S advice and support to departments and Senior Management
  • Implement Internal Audit processes at site level and measure performance and action planning
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant H&S legislation and best industry practice
  • Accident investigation and identification of corrective and preventative actions
  • Statutory reporting of accidents to regulatory bodies


  • Degree in Health & Safety, EHS or related discipline
  • 4+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally Food Industry
  • Experience advising management team on health and safety strategy
  • Ability to manage change as directed by the company or legislation
  • Certified trainer for manual handling certificate
