Please note this is a FTC (Fixed Term Contract) of 12 months.

Location: Monaghan

As the Health & Safety Manager at our client's company, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety, health, and well-being of our employees, contractors, and visitors. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing our health and safety programs, policies, and procedures. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact by creating a safe and secure working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive health and safety programs, policies, and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and site inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a safety-conscious culture and provide guidance on best practices.
  • Lead safety training and awareness programs for employees and contractors.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and recommend preventive measures.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and regulations to ensure our programs remain current and effective.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to health and safety activities.
  • Participate in emergency response planning and drills.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years experience within a Health & Safety role.
  • Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and influence change.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or other relevant certifications preferred.
  • First Aid/CPR certification is a plus.
