Job Advertisement: Health & Safety Manager

Please note this is a FTC (Fixed Term Contract) of 12 months.

As the Health & Safety Manager at our client's company, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety, health, and well-being of our employees, contractors, and visitors. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing our health and safety programs, policies, and procedures. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive health and safety programs, policies, and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and site inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a safety-conscious culture and provide guidance on best practices.
• Lead safety training and awareness programs for employees and contractors.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and recommend preventive measures.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and regulations to ensure our programs remain current and effective.
• Maintain accurate records and reports related to health and safety activities.
• Participate in emergency response planning and drills.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years experience within a Health & Safety role.
• Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and influence change.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or other relevant certifications preferred.
• First Aid/CPR certification is a plus.
