Inventory Planner - Dublin
 
                                                                                                                           
Are you an industrial engineer with experience in inventory control looking to take the next big step in your career? Today is your lucky day as my client, a constantly expanding third-party logistics company is looking for an Inventory Planner to join their stock team in Dublin.
 
This is a permanent (full-time) job based in Co. Dublin.
 
You will report into the Continuous Improvement Manager and you will have responsibility for the inventory and stocking strategy using advanced analytics and demand planning principles. You will also manage stock flow, stock accuracy and the monitoring of such movements.
 
 
 
What will you do in this job?
 
  • You will manage customer stock from receipt through despatch.
 
 
  • You will help designing, building and delivering solutions to ensure that the stock layout optimizes the process layout work.
 
 
  • You will participate in writing a wide range of SOPs for all main inventory control processes and functions.
 
  • You will produce reports both internally and externally, attending weekly, monthly and ad hoc client reviews.
 
 
  • You will establish effective relationships with multiple departments and customers.
 
  • You will ensure high value stock is stored securely and handled appropriately.
 
 
  • You will be involved in Control and disposal of any damaged inventory.
 
  • You will be involved in the management and reporting of inventory on hold.
 
  • You will participate in capacity planning for seasonal changes or change projects.
 
 
  • You will be planning and managing continual cycle counting in line with customer's requirements.
 
  • You will contribute to keep within Budget and will be attending regular finance meetings with the Finance Team.
 
 
 
What do you need to be successful in this job?
 
  • You hold a 3rd level qualification in industrial engineering or related discipline.
 
  • You have stock control experience in a high-volume warehouse environment.
 
  • You are a good communicator with the ability to interact with staff at all levels.
