Procurement Specialist - Limerick

My client, an international engineering services provider operating across Ireland, is looking for a Procurement Specialist who will join the Procurement team and will assist the Senior Procurement Manager in the delivery of leading-edge engineering projects.

​

You will work with a vibrant, agile and multi-functional team in delivering quality projects, on time and to budget.

​

This is a permanent (full-time) job based in Co. Limerick.

​

​

What will you do in this job?

​

​

• You will liaise with Engineering and Project teams at project start-up to get an understanding of the scope and timelines.

​

• You will liaise with the project team to generate the bid list.

​

• You will collate specifications, technical and quality requirements and produce RFQ's for formal issue to the supply chain.

​

• You will manage the RFQ process involving all relevant stakeholders and ensure appropriate technical and end user reviews are incorporated and recorded within the tender review and decision-making process.

​

• You will carry out detailed analysis of returned bids, reporting and presenting the results to the project team.

​

• You will provide monthly procurement status report to the line manager on assigned projects.

​

• You will build relationships with existing and potential new suppliers, ensure due diligence is carried out for all new sources of supply.

​

• You will assist with analysis of supplier relationships, metric and performance, complete annual SRM's.

​

• You will interface with finance regarding invoice queries relating to price / quantity discrepancies.

​

What do you need to be successful in this job?

​

• You have 2+ years' experience of equipment procurement and Capital Expenditure purchases in excess of €200k value

​

• You are system orientated with excellent Microsoft skills and experience of using ERP.

​

• You are an excellent communicator with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical disciplines, both internal and external.
