Build Your Career in Biologics Manufacturing

Production Operator II

Join a large-scale commercial biologics manufacturing site where your hands-on skills will support cell culture, purification, and downstream processing in a GMP-regulated environment.

We're looking for a detail-oriented, safety-focused operator who can work confidently in a structured shift-based manufacturing team and help deliver right-first-time, patient-focused production.

What you'll achieve (and why it matters)

  • Execute biologics drug substance manufacturing processes to GMP standard.
  • Operate, monitor, and maintain automated manufacturing equipment and production systems.
  • Follow paperless batch recipes through electronic manufacturing systems.
  • Perform upstream processing, including inoculation and cell culture activities.
  • Support downstream operations including filtration and purification.
  • Carry out cleaning, preparation, validation, and in-process testing.
  • Ensure all production activities meet GMP and EHS standards.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and escalate process deviations or equipment issues.
  • Work to SOPs, batch records, and established work instructions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.

Your edge (desired, not required)

  • Level 6 qualification (minimum) in Science, Biotechnology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 0-3 years' experience in pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing (or equivalent).
  • Exposure to GMP-regulated environments is an advantage.
  • Understanding of biologics manufacturing processes is an advantage.
  • Experience in cell culture, drug substance, or bioprocessing.
  • Familiarity with automated or paperless manufacturing systems.
  • Strong problem-solving ability under pressure.
  • Comfortable working a 4-cycle rotating shift pattern (2 days, 2 nights, 4 off).
  • Ability to work fully onsite in Swords, Co. Dublin.

Why this role matters

You'll play a direct role in getting a commercial-scale biologics product safely and compliantly through production - from cell culture to purification. It's a genuine entry point into large-scale biologics manufacturing, with a strong shift allowance and extended time off built into the rotation, and a clear route to build long-term technical experience in a highly regulated industry.
