The Role

The successful candidate will support laboratory quality operations through routine testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products, ensuring compliance with quality and food safety standards.

This is a hands-on laboratory role suited to candidates with previous manufacturing QC experience within food, beverage, pharma, or related industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine QC testing on raw materials, production samples, and finished products
  • Conduct standard wet chemistry and bench testing including pH, Brix, turbidity, and related analyses
  • Prepare standards, reagents, and samples for testing
  • Support calibration, cleaning, and maintenance of laboratory equipment
  • Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation
  • Review and manage Certificates of Analysis (CoAs)
  • Support GMP, GLP, HACCP, CCP, and OPRP compliance requirements
  • Manage retained samples and laboratory inventory
  • Work closely with Production and Quality teams to support manufacturing operations
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and laboratory organisation

Requirements

  • Degree qualification in Food Science, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, or related discipline
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a QC laboratory or manufacturing environment
  • Strong wet chemistry / bench testing experience
  • Experience working within GMP or regulated manufacturing environments
  • Good understanding of quality systems and laboratory documentation
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Please note that this role is fully onsite in Co. Kildare. Candidates must be located within a realistic daily commuting distance, as relocation support is not available.
