Senior Food Quality Technologist
 
 
Next Generation Recruitment is currently looking for a Sr Food Quality Technologist on behalf of a successful Galway based Irish food business. You will be joining a Quality team of 4 and you will be reporting into the Quality Manager.

This is a permanent (full-time) job based in Co. Galway.
 
 
What will you do in this job?
 
  • You will support the NPD team in the development and implementation of new food product ranges.
 
  • You will work with the operational management team to train, mentor and monitor team members to ensure we maintain quality standards.
 
  • You will participate in the management of BRC and customer standards, to maintain audit ready status at all times.
 
  • You will be investigating, monitoring, and resolving day to day quality issues and implementing any resulting corrective and preventative actions.
 
  • You will carry out internal system audits and checks, including traceability exercises.
 
  • You will be responsible for document control and review/approval of controlled documents.
 
  • You will be handling and investigating customer complaints. 
 
  • You will be ensuring HACCP principles are continuously met for product safety and process control.
 
 
What do you need to be successful in this job?
 
  • You hold a degree in a Food Science/Food Technology/ /Quality or equivalent Science related discipline.
 
  • You have 2+ years of experience in a QC/QA/Technical role in the food manufacturing industry.
 
  • You have experience with HACCP and BRC standards.
