Shift Manager (24/7 and 24/5 shifts)
Location: Cork (Onsite)
Contract Duration: Permanent
Reports To: Assistant Production Manager

- Salary up to €55,000
- 33% shift allowance
- 5% annual performance-related bonus

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a shift team including operators, maintenance technicians, and quality personnel
- Drive a strong culture of safety, quality, and compliance across all operations
- Ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene, and GMP standards
- Deliver on production KPIs and operational targets
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Maintenance, Quality, H&S, and Supply Chain
- Support and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Oversee training and development plans to build team capability
- Ensure accurate completion of documentation and production records
- Investigate and resolve issues, including complaints and deviations
- Monitor shift performance through regular team huddles and follow-up actions
- Manage shift-related administrative tasks, including payroll hours
Requirements
- 5-7 years' experience in a production or manufacturing environment
- Proven leadership experience managing teams in a shift-based setting
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement solutions
- Experience working in regulated environments with a focus on quality and compliance
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence teams
- Ability to manage change effectively and drive team performance
- Flexible to work rotating 24/7 or 24/5 shift patterns

Shift Pattern
- 2 weeks of day shifts (12-hour shifts starting at 6am)
- Followed by 2 weeks of night shifts (12-hour shifts starting at 6pm)
- Rotating pattern:
- Week 1: Mon, Tues (on) | Wed, Thurs (off) | Fri-Sun (on)
- Week 2: Mon, Tues (off) | Wed, Thurs (on) | Fri-Sun (off)
