Supply Chain Operations Supervisor - Global Distribution Centre

12 Month FTC

Our client, a global pharmaceutical organisation, is seeking to appoint a Supply Chain Operations Supervisor to support its high-volume, customer-focused distribution centre operations.

This is a key position responsible for leading a team and ensuring seamless customer order management and service delivery across regional and global markets. Experience within a GDP-compliant environment would be a distinct advantage.

The Role

You will oversee day-to-day supply chain operations, managing customer order flow, team performance, and third-party logistics providers to ensure service excellence.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and developing a team within a fast-paced distribution environment
  • Managing end-to-end customer order processes including order entry, fulfilment, invoicing and query resolution
  • Acting as the primary escalation point for customer and operational issues
  • Driving performance against service KPIs and delivery targets
  • Working closely with 3PL partners to ensure efficient distribution and service execution
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across operations and customer service
  • Maintaining accurate forecasting and customer data to support planning activities
  • Ensuring compliance with quality standards, GDP requirements, SOPs and operational procedures

The Person

  • 7-8+ years' experience within supply chain operations or customer service in a distribution environment
  • Proven background in global or regional customer supply chain
  • Strong experience managing high-volume customer order management processes
  • Demonstrated experience working with 3PL providers
  • Previous people management or team leadership experience
  • Strong focus on customer service excellence and stakeholder engagement
  • Experience within a pharmaceutical or regulated (GDP) environment highly desirable
