My client, a leading Irish-owned food manufacturing company based in Co. Kildare, is looking for a recent graduate in Sustainability or Environmental Sciences who will join their team and will help develop, lead and deliver the Sustainability Strategy & Goals both internally and externally with customers and key stakeholders.
This is a permanent (full-time) job based in Co. Kildare.
What will you do in this job?
- You will design, implement and manage sustainability programmes.
- You will liaise with the Senior Management Team to ensure that the Sustainability Solutions integrate with other parts of the business to deliver improvement in business operations, efficiency, resourcing, cost management and to also ensure a seamless customer experience.
- You will promote and manage the strategic sustainability agenda with customers and key external advisors.
- You will analyse and report on global sustainability developments at commercial, consumer and policy level, including analysis of sustainability programs and progress in peer companies to inform our strategy.
- You will represent the company as the sustainability champion both internally and externally, attending customer and internal presentations as required.
- You will co-ordinate/manage responses to all customer / key external stakeholder requests in a timely and professional manner.
- You will introduce Biodiversity and environmental initiatives at site level and community level that will positively contribute to the company's impact on their community.
What do you need to be successful in this job?
- You hold a 3rd level qualification in a relevant discipline – Sustainability Management or Environmental Science or related degree.
- You have up to 1 year experience in a similar sustainability role.
- You have strong people management skills and you are a self-started with an appetite to embrace new challenges as they arise.
