In the current economic climate, employers are bombarded with countless number of CVs on a daily basis in relation to roles that they have advertised. Here we look at the importance of a CV to secure that 1st round interview.
It is important to remember that as CVs are faceless, the objective is to write a CV in a concise way that sells you in the same manner that you would sell yourself at an interview. The objective of sending in a CV is to gain the best possible opportunity to be shortlisted for a 1st round interview.
When drafting a CV, it is imperative that you view the process as a scenario whereby, your potential employer is a customer and you are a business that is trying to sell your services to them. The main medium that you will utilise to gain that 1st interview will be through your CV.
