Job Title: Business Development Manager

Location: Monaghan

Type: Full-time

Salary: Competitive, plus commission

Company Overview: Our client is a rapidly growing food business that manufactures food ingredients and supplies to the food service and manufacturing industry in Ireland, the UK, and Europe. They are seeking a proactive Business Development Manager to drive growth and help expand their client base.

Role Overview: As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and securing new business opportunities while fostering strong relationships with existing and prospective clients. This role offers excellent hybrid working flexibility, with the requirement to travel to existing and prospective client sites from time to time. You will also gain exposure to marketing activities and oversee external marketing consultants to support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, pursue, new business opportunities within the food service and manufacturing industry.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Understand and articulate the company's products and services to meet clients' needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless client experiences and satisfaction.
  • Develop and execute strategic business plans to achieve sales targets and company goals
  • Provide regular sales forecasts and reports to management
  • Stay current with industry trends and competitive landscape to inform business strategies
  • Oversee external marketing consultants and collaborate on marketing campaigns to drive brand awareness and support sales objectives.
  • Gain exposure to marketing activities such as developing promotional materials and strategies.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a sales role within the food industry
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Exposure to marketing strategies and overseeing external marketing consultants is desirable
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software
  • Flexibility to travel to client sites as needed
