My client, a leading food manufacturer based in Co. Kildare, is looking for a EHS Co-ordinator who will join and lead the EHS team and will support the EHS Manager in all aspects of the Environment, Health and Safety across the site.
 
This is a permanent (full-time) job based in Co. Kildare.
 
 
What will you do in this job?
 
  • You will manage and monitor reporting system with continual involvement and communication with EHS Manager and other department representatives.
 
  • You will manage the audit programme on the site, conduct safety inspections on a regular basis, prepare reports, implement corrective and preventative measures, and liaise with key department representatives to facilitate close out on items highlighted.
 
  • You will identify and schedule new and on-going safety related training requirements, ensuring all mandatory training is reviewed and delivered on time.
 
  • You will investigate, record and report accidents, incidents and near-misses promptly, ensuring any corrective actions are implemented without delay.
 
  • You will regularly review and update Company Risk Assessments, Safe Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, and the company Safety Statement.
 
  • You will co-ordinate environmental safety and sustainability procedures on site to ensure compliance with legal and best practice requirements.  
 
 
What do you need to be successful in this job?
 
  • You hold a 3rd level qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or related discipline.
 
  • You ideally have previous experience in a EHS role in the manufacturing industry.
 
  • If you have a Manual Handling Instructor and/or Train the Trainer and/or Occupational First Aider that will be of huge advantage!
