Job Title: Logistics Coordinator

Location: Waterford, Ireland

Role Overview: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join the team in Waterford. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all import and export documentation and coordinating international shipments to ensure the smooth and efficient movement of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all import and export documentation, including customs declarations, shipping manifests, and other relevant paperwork.
  • Coordinate international shipments, including liaising with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Monitor shipment schedules and proactively address any issues or delays to minimize disruptions to the supply chain.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, including tracking information, delivery dates, and documentation for audit purposes.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners to provide updates on shipment status and resolve any logistics-related issues.
  • Stay informed about international trade regulations and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to optimize the logistics function.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar logistics role, preferably in the food industry.
  • Knowledge of import and export procedures and documentation requirements.
  • Experience with international shipping and familiarity with Incoterms.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred
