Plant Manager - High-Volume Global Manufacturer
Location: Dublin
A high-volume global manufacturer is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead site operations and drive performance across a complex, fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a critical leadership role responsible for more than 800 employees across Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Engineering, with full accountability for site delivery, operational excellence and a P&L in excess of €20 million.
We are looking for a proven operational leader with a strong Lean mindset, a coaching style of leadership and the ability to influence, inspire and elevate teams through significant growth and change. Candidates from FMCG, Automotive or Medical Device manufacturing will be particularly well suited to the environment.
The Opportunity
As Plant Manager, you will oversee all aspects of site operations, ensuring safe, efficient and cost-effective performance. You will be responsible for day-to-day execution while shaping long-term operational strategy, building capability within your teams and driving continuous improvement throughout the facility.
Working collaboratively with senior leadership, you will champion best practice, operational discipline and a culture of high performance, ensuring the site delivers consistently for customers and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all operational activities across the plant to ensure productivity, quality, cost and delivery targets are achieved.
Provide strong safety leadership and embed a culture where safety is a core value.
Lead, coach and develop managers and cross-functional teams, fostering engagement, accountability and high performance.
Drive Lean, CI and waste-reduction initiatives to improve throughput, efficiency and operational resilience.
Influence and align stakeholders across functions to support site priorities and strategic objectives.
Oversee site P&L (c. €20m+), optimising cost structures without compromising performance or quality.
Monitor operational KPIs, identify gaps and implement process improvements that enhance reliability and scalability.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety and corporate standards.
Build strong customer relationships and ensure operational excellence in service delivery.
Contribute to long-term planning, anticipating future capacity, resource and technology needs to support growth.
About You
Significant senior leadership experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Background in FMCG, Automotive or Medical Device operations strongly preferred.
Proven ability to lead large teams (800+ employees) through managers across Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Engineering.
Strong Lean/CI background with a track record of improving operational performance.
Coaching-focused leadership style with the ability to develop talent and strengthen organisational capability.
Strong decision-maker with excellent communication and influencing skills.
Commercially astute with direct oversight of a large P&L.
