Production Supervisor

Location: Meath

Industry: Food Manufacturing

Hours: 7am-4pm, Monday to Friday, must be flexible to work Saturdays during busy periods

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead and manage our clients' rapidly growing production team. This role is pivotal in ensuring production targets are met while maintaining a safe, efficient, and quality-focused operation. The ideal candidate will be adept at coordinating cross-departmental activities, implementing policies, and driving continuous improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily production operations to meet schedules and quality standards.
  • Achieve daily production targets and ensure SAP Production Orders are updated.
  • Monitor and improve production metrics to boost efficiency and minimise downtime.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager and other departments on planning and resource allocation.
  • Enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Lead, mentor, and train production staff, conducting performance evaluations as needed.
  • Address operational issues promptly to minimise disruptions.
  • Coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs to ensure functionality.
  • Maintain food safety and quality assurance standards in line with BRC requirements.
  • Handle additional tasks as required.

Experience & Skills Required:

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment (food manufacturing preferred).
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of food manufacturing processes and industry safety regulations.
  • Ability to analyse production data for performance improvements.
  • Familiarity with SAP Business One is desirable.
