My client, a Galway-based rapidly expanding food manufacturing industry are now seeking an ambitious Quality professional who is looking to join a dynamic company and step into a managerial role. You will report into the Group Technical Manager and you will work in close collaboration with Management and Production teams to ensure that current product quality & safety standards are maintained and enhanced where appropriate.
This is a permanent (full-time) job based in Co. Galway.
What will you do in this job?
- You will manage & implement the food safety quality management system in the plant.
- You will co-ordinate effective maintenance of all technical standards of the business through effective auditing, training and proactive quality management systems.
- You will ensure the quality team is managed with clear accountabilities and mentoring where needed.
- You will support and participate in business improvement projects and actively drive continuous improvements.
- You will ensure all required departmental audits are carried out with effective corrective actions implemented (mass balance, traceability, glass/perspex, recall, authenticity, GMP, Hygiene, Fabrication and QMS audits)
- You will be completing complaint investigations, identifying root cause, implementing effective corrective actions and closeouts. To include trends.
- You will be the representative for site during customer, regulatory and accreditation audits.
- You will be reviewing and trending site microbiological results, identifying adverse results and co-ordinating effective corrective actions and validations.
What do you need to be successful in this job?
- You are degree qualified in Food Science or related discipline.
- You have 3+ years of experience in the food manufacturing industry in Quality.
- If you happen to have people management experience that would be amazing but it is not a deal breaker if you don't!
