Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Buyer to join our dynamic engineering company. As a Buyer, you will play a critical role in our supply chain management by sourcing, procuring, and managing the inventory of engineering materials, components, and equipment. Your ability to effectively negotiate contracts and collaborate with suppliers will contribute to the success of our projects.

Please note, this role requires flexibility to travel within sites in Europe.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for engineering materials, components, and equipment.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure favorable pricing, quality, and delivery schedules.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and develop procurement strategies.
  • Analyse market trends and monitor industry developments to identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative suppliers.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier performance.
  • Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to project sites.
  • Monitor inventory levels and implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels.
  • Resolve supplier issues and address any discrepancies or quality concerns in a timely manner.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices in procurement and supply chain management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Buyer in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office applications.
  • Familiarity with engineering materials, components, and equipment.
  • Knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.
