Due to ongoing expansion and new product introductions, they are now seeking a Manufacturing Support Scientist / Engineer to support New Product Introduction activities on a contract basis.

This is a highly collaborative role within a modern, GMP biologics environment and would suit someone who enjoys working cross-functionally and being involved at the front end of new product start-ups.

The role

You will be a key contributor within the Manufacturing group, supporting new product introductions and process improvements across the site. Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Engineering, QA, QC, Supply Chain, Regulatory, etc.) on new product start-ups and process changes
  • Leading and supporting NPI risk assessments and process impact assessments
  • Supporting technology transfer activities and preparation of manufacturing documentation for development, engineering and PPQ batches
  • Supporting product changeovers and ensuring smooth transitions from sustaining to new product manufacturing
  • Acting as Manufacturing SME in cross-functional meetings and projects
  • Owning and driving change controls, CAPAs, investigations and improvement projects
  • Supporting audits, deviations, disposition activities and sustaining operations when required
  • Contributing to a Right-First-Time culture and Operational Excellence initiatives
  • Supporting the introduction of new consumables, raw materials and single-use technologies
  • Reviewing and approving GMP documentation including procedures and electronic batch records
  • Providing training and technical knowledge transfer to operations teams

About you

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Science, Engineering or a related discipline (or currently completing)
  • Strong theoretical knowledge of GMP biologics manufacturing equipment and automated processes
  • Experience supporting complex technical investigations and cross-functional projects
  • Working knowledge of DeltaV, MES (Syncade) and SAP
  • Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, change-driven manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrates strong alignment with BioPharma values and behaviours

Why consider this role?

  • Work within a cutting-edge biologics manufacturing facility
  • Exposure to multiple products and new product introductions
  • High-impact role within a global manufacturing network
  • Excellent opportunity for experienced manufacturing scientists or engineers looking to deepen NPI exposure
