Job Title: Contract Packing Manager

Location: Ireland (Remote)

Contract Type: Permanent

Company Details: Our client are a leading company in the Dairy sector, dedicated to providing high-quality products to their customers globally. As part of their commitment to excellence, they are now seeking a skilled Contract Packing Manager to join the team and oversee the contract packaging operations.

Role Overview: As the Contract Packing Manager, you will be responsible for managing and liaising with the contract packaging operations. Your primary focus will be to ensure the efficient and effective packaging of their products, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to oversee packaging design, documentation, and artwork.

Please note, in order to apply for this position you need to be based in Ireland and be in receipt of a valid working visa.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of the contract packaging operation.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including BRC and retail manufacturing standards for the infant formula sector
  • Liaise with internal teams and external partners to develop packaging designs that meet product requirements and industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain packaging documentation, including specifications, SOPs, and quality control procedures
  • Coordinate artwork creation and approval processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Monitor and evaluate packaging equipment and technology, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation
  • Manage budgetary and resource allocation for the contract packaging operation
  • Provide leadership and guidance to packaging team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in packaging equipment and technology, preferably in the infant formula sector
  • Strong knowledge of BRC and retail manufacturing standards, with a focus on packaging
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in packaging design, documentation, and artwork.
  • Proven track record of managing contract packaging operations, including budgetary and resource management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • A proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving, with a commitment to continuous improvement
