Job Title: Cost Accountant (12-month Contract)

Location: Clare, Ireland

Company Overview: Our client, a prominent pharmaceutical company at the forefront of innovation, is seeking a dedicated Cost Accountant to join their finance team on a 12-month contract basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a leading organization in the pharmaceutical industry.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and report on production costs, ensuring accuracy and adherence to budgetary constraints.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather cost-related data and provide insights for decision-making.
• Conduct regular cost variance analysis and recommend cost-saving measures where applicable.
• Maintain and update cost accounting records and documentation.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of financial reports.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, etc.) preferred but not mandatory.
• Proven experience in cost accounting within the pharmaceutical or related industry.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in relevant accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
