QC Instrumentation Engineer

📍 Dublin, Ireland
💰 €30/hour
📄 12-Month Contract

We are currently seeking a QC Instrumentation Senior Engineer to join a leading biologics site in Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a high-performing GMP environment, supporting critical laboratory instrumentation and contributing to the delivery of life-changing biopharmaceutical products.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of QC laboratory instruments including purchase, installation, qualification, calibration, and maintenance
  • Execute and support instrument qualification activities (IQ/OQ/PQ) in line with GMP requirements
  • Coordinate and perform instrument calibration, maintenance scheduling, and performance tracking
  • Lead and support deviations, investigations, and documentation related to instrumentation
  • Collaborate with QC, QA Validation, and CSV teams to deliver new instrument implementation
  • Ensure compliance with data integrity standards (21 CFR Part 11 / EU Annex 11)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex instrumentation issues
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and development of procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a GMP laboratory, including instrument qualification
  • Strong knowledge of biopharmaceutical analytical techniques (HPLC/UPLC, CE, cIEF, SDS-PAGE, etc.)
  • Understanding of data integrity and regulatory compliance
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork skills
