Job Title: Deputy Quality Manager

Location: Midlands

Job Description:

Summary: The Deputy Quality Manager is a crucial role within our client's organisation, responsible for supporting and assisting the Quality Manager in maintaining and improving the quality management system. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring that our products/services meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Quality Assurance: Work closely with the Quality Manager to develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance policies and procedures.

  2. Compliance: Assist in ensuring the company's compliance with relevant quality standards and regulations.

  3. Team Management: Supervise and guide the quality control team, providing leadership and support to ensure consistent quality performance.

  4. Documentation: Maintain and update quality documentation, including quality manuals, SOPs, and work instructions.

  5. Auditing: Support in conducting internal and external quality audits to identify areas for improvement.

  6. Problem Resolution: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.

  7. Training: Assist in the development and implementation of quality training programs for employees.

  8. Continuous Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance quality processes and product/service quality.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Quality Management, Engineering, or related).
  • 4 years of experience in quality related role with people management experience.
  • Knowledge of quality management standards (ISO 9001, etc.).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and analytical skills.
