Job Title: Junior Recruitment Consultant
Location: Dublin (Remote/Hybrid options available)
About Us:
Recruitment is changing - fast. At Next Generation we are moving away from the traditional model of filling roles through client assignments and stepping into the future where database mining, digital engagement, and data-driven recruitment strategies are the keys to success.
We are a life sciences and food industry recruitment agency, but more importantly, we are digital talent experts, looking for individuals who are ready to embrace this change.
Role Overview:
This is not a traditional recruitment consultant role. As a Junior Recruitment Consultant, you will specialise in database mining and digital candidate engagement, rather than the old-school "fill a role" approach. Our focus is on building networks and mastering digital tools to identify and engage niche, highly skilled candidates.
This role is perfect for someone interested in becoming a talent data expert - someone who can dig deep into databases and leverage technology to find the best candidates, even before they become active job seekers. You'll learn from senior consultants, but your goal is to become an expert in using data and digital communication to create your own pipeline of talent.
Key Responsibilities:
Database Mining & Talent Discovery: Use advanced search techniques and recruitment tools to mine existing databases for top-tier candidates.
Digital-First Engagement: Prioritise reaching out to candidates via email, LinkedIn, and instant messaging to establish connections before moving to phone or in- person discussions.
Data Management & Sourcing: Build detailed candidate profiles and utilise data analytics to track engagement and refine sourcing strategies.
Digital candidate engagement: Use platforms like LinkedIn, email, and instant messaging to connect with and engage candidates. Your ability to write compelling, concise messages will be key to your success.
Candidate relationship management: Build long-term relationships with candidates in niche industries, nurturing them through regular communication and community-building efforts.
Social media promotion: Promote yourself, your roles, and the company brand through LinkedIn and other digital channels. You'll play an active role in boosting your online presence to attract talent.
Learning & development: Work closely with senior consultants to understand candidate and client management, client communication, and how to handle lengthy recruitment processes in slow-growth markets.
Market research & sourcing: Conduct research to identify key industry trends and develop strategies for sourcing hard-to-find candidates, both in Ireland and globally, as relocation plays an important role in finding talent.
Candidate tracking and process management: Support candidates through the recruitment process, ensuring they have a smooth experience and feel well-guided at every step.
Who This Role Appeals To:
- You are early in your recruitment career and looking for a more specialised, hands-on recruitment role.
- You're excited about learning the digital side of recruitment, with a focus on using technology and data to engage candidates.
- You're self-driven, resilient, and enjoy building professional relationships through clear and effective communication.
- You are comfortable with digital communication, and you understand the importance of building an online presence in recruitment.
- You're interested in mastering the candidate side of recruitment before moving into more client-facing tasks.
- You want to work in a supportive environment with the opportunity to grow and take on more responsibility over time.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a recruitment resourcer, recruitment assistant or administrative role within the recruitment sector.
- Excellent written communication skills, with an ability to craft engaging messages via LinkedIn, email, and other digital platforms.
- Comfortable with using recruitment software and databases, with a keen interest in learning how to mine and manage candidate data.
- Ability to work autonomously while also collaborating closely with senior consultants.
- A proactive and solution-oriented mindset with the ability to handle pressure and multitask.
- Passion for building relationships and a keen interest in the life sciences or food industries.
Why Join Us?:
- Be part of an innovative and growing team where your contributions matter.
- Ongoing training and mentorship from experienced recruitment consultants.
- Flexible working arrangements (hybrid/remote).
- Opportunity to learn and grow in a specialised industry, gaining expertise in database mining, digital engagement, and candidate management.
- Clear career path towards becoming a 360-recruitment consultant.
