As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of EHS to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the well-being of our employees and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on a global scale.

Job Description: The Director of EHS will be responsible for overseeing and implementing comprehensive EHS strategies, policies, and procedures across our global pharmaceutical manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will lead a team and work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders to drive a strong safety culture and maintain compliance with local, regional, and international regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute global EHS strategies, goals, and initiatives aligned with business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Lead the development and implementation of EHS policies, procedures, and training programs.
  • Monitor and evaluate EHS performance metrics and develop improvement plans as needed.
  • Conduct risk assessments and identify potential hazards, recommending appropriate controls and preventive measures.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with regulatory agencies and relevant industry organizations.
  • Stay current with emerging EHS trends, technologies, and regulatory changes to anticipate and mitigate potential risks.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to EHS teams globally, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including senior management, operations, engineering, and quality assurance teams, to ensure EHS considerations are integrated into business processes.
  • Participate in incident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Requirements:

  • Ideally Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline.
  • 8-10 years of progressive EHS experience within the pharmaceutical ,FMCG or medical device manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of global EHS regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing teams and driving change.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement effective EHS programs and initiatives.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a track record of achieving EHS goals and objectives.
  • Professional certifications in EHS (e.g., CSP, CIH, CPEA) are highly desirable.
