Our client is a leading single-source supplier and solutions provider for customers operating in critically clean and controlled environments. They are currently seeking an experienced and driven EHS Manager to oversee and enhance their Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) management systems across multiple sites.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive EHS Culture: Lead and promote a strong EHS culture across all sites in alignment with company policies, guidelines, and processes.
  • Maintain and Improve EHS Systems: Oversee existing EHS management systems, continuously improving and implementing them across various locations.
  • Safety Processes & Procedures: Ensure robust safety processes and procedures are in place, creating and implementing new ones as necessary.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate areas of risk, developing effective measures to control and reduce these risks.
  • Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents and incidents, ensuring all actions are tracked to closure and necessary preventive measures are put in place.
  • EHS Compliance: Conduct regular safety walks, inspections, and audits to ensure compliance with site procedures and legal requirements.
  • Audit Management: Manage customer and internal audits, including preparing for management reviews and ensuring successful outcomes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support the management team in driving safety and quality initiatives through continuous improvement methods.
  • Training & Support: Provide training on EHS-related topics to new hires and existing staff, and offer ongoing support to colleagues on EHS matters.
  • Documentation & Analysis: Maintain accurate documentation, performing statistical analysis to support EHS management and improvement efforts.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure the successful implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Project Management: Take on additional projects and responsibilities as defined by the company's needs.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Educational Background: A third-level qualification in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) is required.
  • Professional Experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar EHS role, preferably within a regulated environment.
  • Leadership and Initiative: A self-driven individual with the ability to work independently and lead EHS initiatives across multiple sites.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence others effectively.
  • Risk and Safety Management: Proven experience in identifying risks and implementing safety procedures to mitigate them.
  • Audit and Compliance: Experience managing internal and external EHS audits and ensuring compliance with legal and company standards.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office tools and ERP systems is essential, with a demonstrated ability to use IT systems to manage and streamline EHS functions.
  • Team Collaboration: A strong team player with a collaborative approach toward achieving shared goals.
  • Additional Certifications: Certification to provide Manual Handling training and Ergonomics assessment is desirable.
  • Driving Licence: A full Irish driver's licence is required.
