A Manufacturing Wexford is on the lookout for a Facilities Manager to join its manufacturing and innovation facility in Wexford Town. You'll be contributing to the success of the world's largest beverage company.

Role Overview:

As a crucial member of the FMW Engineering Group, the Facilities Manager will oversee Plant and Facility system maintenance, performance, projects, improvement initiatives, service contracts, and support activities throughout the facility. This role involves acting as the utilities subject matter expert for the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Play a leading role in transitioning the site to Net Zero by 2030.
  • Prepare technical project proposals, ensuring projects are justified and feasible before submission for approval.
  • Manage project implementation, leading multi-disciplinary, cross-department project teams.
  • Manage external engineering consultancy and contracting companies for capital projects.
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional improvement teams to enhance facility effectiveness.
  • Work with operations, technical, and engineering teams to develop future operations, process improvement, and capital expenditure requirements.
  • Manage change activities ensuring compliance with Company and industry standards.
  • Interact with scientific/regulatory personnel from government agencies as required.
  • Manage and maintain all relevant engineering documentation.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform assigned tasks, analyses, and special projects.
  • Support Company Programs and culture.
  • Safeguard and protect all Company information and property.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Degree in Building Services, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proven track record of continuous development and roles of increasing responsibility.
  • Over 3 years' experience in building services/process industry leading projects.
  • Strong track record of delivering projects in a highly automated environment.
  • Ability to lead capital projects.
  • Knowledge of up-to-date facility technologies.
  • Ability to troubleshoot existing plant using engineering principles.
  • Project Management Skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret various drawings and diagrams.
  • Excellent understanding of safety legislation, standards, and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience of engineering validations with a strong understanding of cGMP, including computer systems validation.
