Job Title: Factory Manager

About the Company:
Our client, a leading player in the food manufacturing industry, is seeking an experienced Factory Manager to lead their cooked foods manufacturing facility in Monaghan. With a team of 40 dedicated employees, this role is pivotal to ensuring the highest standards of quality and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management:

    • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the facility, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
    • Oversee a team of 40 employees, ensuring effective people management, development, and engagement.
  • Quality Assurance:

    • Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and maintain the highest quality standards across the production process.
  • Health and Safety:

    • Promote and ensure a safe working environment, adhering to health and safety standards and regulations.
  • Operations Management:

    • Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient production processes and on-time delivery of products.
    • Implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
  • Maintenance:

    • Oversee the maintenance of equipment and facilities, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Supply Chain:

    • Manage supply chain operations, including procurement and inventory control, to ensure seamless production flow.
  • Financial Management:

    • Take responsibility for the site P&L, budget planning, and cost control to meet financial objectives.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of senior management experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record of leadership, with strong people management skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of quality assurance, health and safety standards, and operational best practices.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in managing site P&L.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
