Job Title: Global Director of Distribution

Location: Remote (Multiple European Locations, including Ireland)

A high volume global healthcare manufacturer, the organization has experienced remarkable growth over the past decade through mergers and acquisitions. Their extensive product portfolio and global supply chain are at the core of our success. They are now establishing a new global supply chain team to drive innovation and efficiency. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic company that values strategic leadership in warehousing and distribution.

Position Overview: My client is searching for a visionary Global Director of Warehousing & Distribution to be a key part of their new global supply chain team. In this role, you will take the lead in developing our global strategy for warehousing and distribution, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency in reaching global markets. Your expertise will be instrumental in forging strategic relationships with our third-party distribution partners as we continue our growth through acquisitions. This position offers significant career advancement for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Global Strategy Development: Develop and execute a global warehousing and distribution strategy that aligns with our business objectives and growth plans. Identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency improvements.
  • Supply Chain Leadership: Lead the development and implementation of global warehousing and distribution practices and standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product flow.
  • Strategic Partner Relationships: Build and nurture strategic partnerships with third-party distribution partners, ensuring alignment with our organization's goals and values. Manage and optimize these relationships to enhance our global reach.
  • Cost Efficiency: Drive initiatives to optimize costs while maintaining service levels. Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency within the supply chain.
  • Global Market Expansion: Play a pivotal role in enabling our expansion into new global markets by providing effective and efficient distribution solutions.
  • Team Leadership: Manage a high-performing team of professionals, providing guidance and support in executing global supply chain initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 8-10 years of global distribution experience with a high volume manufacturer, ideally in Pharma, FMCG, or medical devices.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing global supply chain strategies.
  • Strong understanding of warehousing and distribution best practices.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strategic relationships with distribution partners.
