Job Opportunity: Global S&OP Planning Director

Location: European Headquarters, Dublin

About the Company: Our client is a leading global manufacturer with a European headquarters in Dublin, currently undergoing significant expansion. With multiple manufacturing facilities worldwide, they provide a broad range of products and manufacturing solutions to industries such as petro-chemical, pharmaceutical, mining, and construction. Recent growth through mergers and acquisitions has expanded their global supply network.

Position Overview: We are seeking a Global S&OP Planning Director to optimise inventory and efficiency across our client's global supply chain. This role will involve leading global S&OP planning processes across six regional hubs, driving demand and inventory planning improvements, and collaborating with various functions to ensure effective inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead global S&OP planning processes across six regional hubs.
  • Analyse, recommend, and implement changes to demand and inventory planning parameters based on commercial strategy, target stock holding, and service levels.
  • Identify, prioritise, and manage process and IT improvement opportunities related to inventory planning systems in collaboration with regional Inventory Managers and IT.
  • Lead global demand planning improvements and optimisation programs across commercial, financial, supply chain, and technology functions.
  • Collaborate with the technology function to optimise the ERP platform throughout the global supply chain.
  • Lead a global inventory and demand planning team within the global supply chain.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Degree or Masters in a relevant field.
  • Over 10 years of experience leading a global demand planning function within a high-volume manufacturing organisation.
  • FMCG sector experience is a distinct advantage.
  • Proven experience in ERP implementation or optimisation at a global or regional level.
  • Excellent skills in inventory optimisation and people management.
