My client, a leading FMCG company is looking for a Head of Finance to join their senior team in Co. Tipperary. As a Head of Finance you will be responsible for manage the full finance function within the business, leading a high-performance team and being a key member of the senior leadership team to drive the development and delivery of the growth strategy.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver timely and accurate preparation of the Budgets, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly and Annual accounts and all associated reports in accordance with statutory, fiscal and legal requirements and in compliance with group guidelines
  • Full ownership of the annual & monthly budget and the continuous monitoring and reporting of Actual vs Budget
  • Research and Apply for Grants, Tax Credits and any other Government Agency finance related matters and develop and maintain relationships with key contacts in this area, e.g. Banks, Auditors, Revenue, EI, etc
  • Participate in Continuous Improvements initiatives for  the overall business, developing improved finance, IT and operations policies
  • Emphasis on cost reduction & greater efficiency initiatives for the business
  • Develop, analyse and report on Key Performance Indicators for the department and business
  • Support all company departments as needed in terms of allocating finance resources to facilitate the timely and accurate provision of information and guidance, e.g., review and forecast reports, product costing and pricing analyses, contract reviews, margin reporting, debt management and government support initiatives
  • Payroll overview to ensure accuracy and enhance reporting
  • Preparation of all financial information to go to the Board
  • Actively participate & represent the business in meetings with the key stakeholders
  • Lead and develop a high-performance finance team by closely managing performance and professional development

 

Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA / CIMA or similar) is essential
  • Previous experience in a finance managerial role, ideally within a Manufacturing environment
  • A strong systems and controls development and implementation experience
  • Ability to influence, and drive change within an organisation
