Health & Safety Manager –Full ownership over entire site – Dublin West - Permanent

Our client, a large, international food manufacturer is looking for a strong resilient person to step in as the Health & Safety Manager and take ownership of the whole site. If you are looking for fast-passed career progression and personal development, this is a role for you.

What the job involves:

• You will oversee and implement all H&S aspects within a fast paced environment
• You will assess risk
• You will develop H&S policies and procedures, and ensure that all related performance indicators are met
• You will conduct inspections of the site, prepare reports and ensure corrective actions are implemented in a time
• You will provide appropriate H&S training onsite as required
• You will provide H&S advice and support to departments and Senior Management
• You will work with relevant departments in order to ensure the site Emergency Response Plan and Business Continuity Plans are maintained and up to date
• You will provide expert H&S advice and guidance for new projects, purchasing of equipment etc.
• You will engage in accident investigation and identification of corrective and preventative actions
• You will report the accidents to regulatory bodies

What you need to do the job:

• You have experience in the manufacturing environment is essential. Advantage if FMCG | 2+ years
• You have experience advising management team on H&S strategy
• You are capable of performing a Risk Assessment
• You have the ability to manage change as directed by the company or legislations
• You have a 3^rd Level Certificate or better in a related discipline
