Title: Laboratory Analyst (FMCG Industry)- Wexford

Next Generation are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic Laboratory Analyst for a well-known FMCG manufacturing company based in Co. Wexford.

We are seeking someone who has the ability to participate in various duties to include; managing laboratory equipment, perform testing of raw materials and finished products at a high level using the required methodology according to quality and GLP guidelines.

The successful candidate will report to the Lab Manager and work as part of a team of Lab Analysts.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wishes to develop their career in a leading FMCG manufacturing company. This role is a permanent role, Monday - Friday and will require shift work.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic and complex testing of raw materials, in process products and finished goods at a high level
  • Interpret data from analysis to validate that material meets specification and authorise routine sample release
  • Participate in various duties to ensure laboratory operations, including instrument verifications, calibrations, maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs
  • Participate in method validations and method improvement projects
  • Ensure self and team compliance to QMS requirements through training, documentation, quality records and audits
  • Initiate Continuous Improvement (OE) within lab operations to enhance quality and service while reducing costs

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or related scientific discipline
  • 1+ years' experience in a lab-based environment within the food, pharmaceutical or chemical industry is preferred
  • Applicants should have basic knowledge and understanding of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and lab testing methods
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
