My client is a leader in packaging solutions, They are looking for an operations manager to over see all functions of the business. Objective: Manage the operations functions of the facility to ensure efficient site performance.



Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create and implement policies to maintain a safe and healthy working environment across all company sites.
  • Develop and control the Operations Department budget to ensure all required resources are available within agreed financial parameters.
  • Oversee production to ensure timely delivery of high-quality finished goods to customers within cost constraints.
  • Manage warehousing and distribution to ensure accurate and timely delivery of goods to customers.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and lead cost reduction initiatives to support margin enhancement.
  • Contribute to corporate strategy development and lead strategy execution within the operations domain to meet short and long-term company goals.
  • Monitor and drive operational KPIs for the facility.
  • Develop and implement policies to ensure operational functions meet business objectives.
  • Play a key role in the company's evolution and the development of an empowered local management team.
  • Collaborate with peers at other facilities to develop new technologies and processes, and share best practices.
  • Promote customer service excellence by meeting or exceeding customer expectations through high levels of delivery and quality performance.
  • Assist in developing integrated systems, procedures, and practices throughout the business.
  • Act as the main adviser on all operational matters, staying updated on industry developments to maintain the company's competitive position.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures to maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Adhere to the company's environmental and quality management procedures.
  • Perform any reasonable duties requested, within your abilities and skill level.


Desired Experience and Competencies

  • Proven experience in managing operations, preferably within the manufacturing or distribution sectors.
  • Strong understanding of budget development and financial management.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee production, warehousing, and distribution functions.
  • Experience in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and leading cost reduction initiatives.
  • Strategic thinking with a track record of contributing to corporate strategy and leading execution.
  • Proficiency in monitoring and driving operational KPIs.

Key Working Relationships

  • Oversee the Production, Warehousing, Maintenance, Tooling, and Quality departments.
  • Cover for the Quality Manager (BRC Coordinator) as needed.
  • Interface with Management, Employees, Customers, and Suppliers, representing the company professionally at all times.
