Role Overview: Our client, a leading food manufacturing company based in Cavan, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all production KPIs are achieved on site, while maintaining high standards of quality and EHS across the production floor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations to ensure production targets and KPIs are met
• Manage and lead a team of over 100 employees, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement
• Ensure compliance with all Quality, Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards across the production floor
• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality
• Monitor and analyse production data, making adjustments as necessary to meet goals
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and resolve production issues
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing training and development for staff
• Prepare and present operational performance reports to senior management
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in a production or operations management role within a busy food manufacturing environment
• Proven ability to manage and lead large teams of 100+ employees
• Strong knowledge of production processes, quality standards, and EHS regulations.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Relevant qualifications in operations management, engineering, or a related field are preferred
