Role Title: Procurement Specialist- Food Industry

Our client is well established organisation in the Food Industry. They are currently looking to recruit a Procurement Specialist for their global procurement team based in Leinster. The role will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to work as part of a dynamic cross functional team purchasing direct materials and ingredients for a multi-national FMCG company.

Responsibilities:

• Developing and implementing category strategy for direct and indirect materials spend
• Sourcing and leading the tender projects within the ingredients/packaging space 
• Management of supplier evaluation and vendor programs
• Liaising internally with stakeholders across the business in relation to requirements
• Leading negotiations with suppliers and  external agencies
• Driving managing cost reduction programs
• Working with the wider procurement department in relation to another other procurement requirements

Requirements:

• Degree qualified in a business or supply chain related discipline
• 3+ years’ experience managing high level direct materials spend
• IPICS or IIPMM qualification desirable.
• Strong project management and interpersonal skills
