Are you looking to take the next step in your manufacturing or pharmaceutical career? We're currently recruiting on behalf of a leading global pharmaceutical company for a Production Operator to join their state-of-the-art facility in Carlow. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a high-performing, collaborative team focused on the safe and reliable supply of life-saving medicines.
About the Role:
As part of an integrated production team, you will play a hands-on role in daily manufacturing operations. Working in a regulated environment, you'll ensure that high standards of compliance, safety, and quality are maintained while also driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor production equipment using MES/DCS/PLC systems (e.g. autoclaves, CIP/SIP units, vial washers, filling machines).
Maintain cleanroom environments through routine cleaning, materials handling, and strict adherence to GMP.
Manage sterile and clean equipment inventory, including labeling, expiry tracking, and flow management.
Conduct basic preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment (where qualified).
Participate in investigations, change controls, and process improvement activities using tools such as 5 Whys and Fishbone Diagrams.
Support documentation activities, including SOP updates and training material development.
Collaborate across departments to promote a safety-first and compliance-driven culture.
Skills & Experience Required:
Previous experience in a GMP-regulated or manufacturing setting is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of sterile production processes and equipment operation.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other production systems.
Excellent attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
A team player with great communication and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Education:
Leaving Certificate or equivalent is essential.
Additional qualifications such as an Apprenticeship, Certificate, or Diploma in a technical or science-related discipline are preferred.
