Quality Assurance Supervisor

My client is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor to join a leading food manufacturer based in Kildare. This role is an excellent opportunity for a quality-focused professional to contribute to a company committed to producing high-quality and safe food products while maintaining the highest industry standards.

Role Overview

As a Quality Assurance Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving the company's Quality Assurance system. You will work closely with the Site Quality Manager to ensure food safety, compliance with HACCP, BRC, and Bord Bia standards, and continuous staff development in quality processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in training and developing the Quality Officer Team
• Participate in all Quality Audits and lead in the absence of the Site Quality Manager
• Drive food safety and product quality improvements to enhance audit results and reduce customer complaints
• Coach and train staff on SOPs to embed quality into production processes
• Conduct traceability/recall audits, address issues, and drive corrective actions
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints in collaboration with production and QA teams
• Manage the microsampling plan, analyze trends, and ensure effective cleaning processes
• Oversee the site's calibration schedule and pest control program
• Work closely with the operations team to implement a "Right First Time" quality approach
• Provide QA team support during holidays or absences

Key Requirements

• Degree in Food Science or equivalent
• Strong HACCP knowledge and experience with BRC, Bord Bia, and TFS standards
• Minimum three years of experience in a similar role
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
• Fluent English
