Job Title: QA Supervisor (Food Industry)

Location: Kildare

About the Company: Our client is a leading food producer that supplies products to the retail and food service market. They are a well-established company with a reputation for quality and innovation in the industry.

Job Overview: The QA Supervisor will play a key role in ensuring the quality and safety of our food products. The ideal candidate will manage a small team of QA technicians in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. The role requires a solid understanding of BRC manufacturing standards and a proactive approach to maintaining the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily QA operations, including monitoring product quality and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Manage and lead a small team of QA technicians, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of the manufacturing process to identify and address any quality issues.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of QA activities, including audits, inspections, and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as production and R&D, to ensure seamless operations and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to maintain product integrity and safety.
  • Stay current with industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Investigate and resolve any customer complaints related to product quality.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience managing a small team in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of BRC manufacturing standards and food safety regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
