Position: Quality Technician - Night Shift

Location: Drogheda, Co. Louth

Job Summary: As a Quality Technician on the night shift, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of product quality and safety during their overnight operations. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will ensure that their customers receive safe and consistent products they can trust. You will work collaboratively with the night shift team to perform quality checks, implement control procedures, and contribute to the continuous improvement of their processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough quality inspections on raw materials, production processes, and finished products during the night shift.
• Perform sensory evaluations to assess product taste, texture, appearance, and overall quality.
• Collaborate with the production team to identify and address quality-related issues promptly.
• Keep detailed records of all quality control activities and share findings with relevant teams.
• Assist in the investigation of quality incidents and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Participate in internal and external audits during the night shift and assist in addressing any non-conformances.
• Monitor and calibrate quality control equipment for accurate measurements.
• Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices to contribute to the enhancement of our quality management system.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or a related field is not required, but an advantage.
• Previous experience in a quality control or quality assurance role within the food industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP) and regulatory requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for maintaining the highest standards of quality.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a systematic approach to process improvement.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently during the night shift hours.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with the night shift team.
• Familiarity with quality control equipment and tools.
• Certification in food safety and quality management systems will be a plus.
