Quality Technician | We are hiring

Location: Naas, Co. Kildare
Type: Full time

I am partnering with a leading food manufacturer to hire a Quality Technician. You will help maintain and improve quality and food safety systems, support audits, and keep products compliant with customer and legal standards.

What you will do

  • Maintain supplier management records, including specifications, risk assessments, audits, and approvals

  • Conduct or support supplier audits and review supplier performance with the buying team

  • Create and maintain detailed internal and finished product specifications

  • Handle customer quality queries and complaints, trend data, and support investigations with root cause analysis and corrective actions

  • Take part in HACCP activities and keep quality system documents controlled and current

  • Update process documentation, checksheets, and procedures as needed

  • Assist with the internal audit program and participate in external audits, including customer, BRC, and regulatory

  • Complete raw material, in-process, and finished product checks, including microbiological, chemical, physical, and daily organoleptic assessments

  • Manage quarantined product, traceability, and shelf life studies for chilled and frozen products

  • Partner with NPD to support smooth handover of new products into production

  • Monitor QA related costs and support budget control

What you bring

  • Diploma or higher in a food related discipline or relevant experience

  • Ideally 1 year QA or QC experience in a food manufacturing environment

  • Strong problem solving skills, accuracy, and a proactive mindset

  • Clear communication and interpersonal skills, calm under pressure

  • Solid MS Office skills and good attention to detail

  • Team player who can also work on own initiative

  • Fluency in English
