Senior Recruitment Consultant - Engineering

Next Generation is a specialist recruitment company founded in 2007. We provide recruitment services tailored to our client's talent attraction strategy and our candidate's career expectations and goals.

Role Overview:

We are on the hunt for a proactive and experienced Recruitment Consultant to join our dynamic team.

A background in Engineering either having worked an engineering desk or coming from an engineering background/education is required.


  • Utilise advanced sourcing techniques to identify top talent, leveraging our suite of recruitment technologies for efficiency.
  • Conduct thorough interviews and assessments to match candidates with suitable positions.
  • Foster long-term relationships with clients and candidates alike, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and dedication.
  • Business development - using our extensive network and client reach market map new opportunities and establish new client relationships
  • Work with the senior team to improve processes and systems.
  • Encourage and mentor junior team members


  • A minimum of two years' experience in a recruitment consultant role.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage recruitment processes from sourcing to placement.
  • Strong business acumen with an understanding of the life sciences and engineering sectors.
  • Proficient in using recruitment technologies and Boolean search techniques.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Enthusiasm for digital marketing and social selling, with an ability to engage with our online community effectively.
