We are recruiting for a, a prominent player in Ireland's manufacturing and meat-processing sector. As the Shipping and Logistics Administrator, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless flow of the logistic processes, thereby contributing to the achievement of our targets and the delivery of top-notch products within designated timelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage logistics, including assigning customer orders, loading orders, and liaising with production, dispatch, and sales teams.
  • Optimize space and operations in blast freezer management, scheduling loads, attending meetings, and managing relationships with cold stores and hauliers.
  • Handle documentation tasks such as providing accurate information to shipping agents, creating declarations, reviewing export documentation, and managing advanced shipping notices.
  • Perform stock management duties, including preparing paperwork, tracking product returns, managing returns through dispatch, and handling trailer issues.
  • Manage purchase orders by creating, pricing, receipting, and linking them with containers, and communicating breakdowns to hauliers.
  • Set and review key performance indicators with the Site Manager, ensuring adherence to reporting deadlines, group policies, and procedures, and monitoring audit results.
  • Desired skills/experience include previous logistics/shipping and administration experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in IT/MS Office Applications, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of ERP Systems is advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of motivation.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and excellent telephone communication ability are essential.

Skills/Experience:

  • Previous logistics/shipping experience desired.
  • Previous administration experience in a fast-paced environment desired.
  • Proficiency in IT/MS Office Applications, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of ERP Systems advantageous, but not essential as full training will be provided.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Highly motivated with excellent communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional telephone communication ability.
