Position Title: Quality Manager (Food Industry)
Location: Dublin, Ireland

Role Overview: As the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and food safety throughout our production processes. You will play a pivotal role in implementing and maintaining our quality management system, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, implement, and maintain a robust quality management system in line with industry best practices and regulatory standards.
  2. Establish and enforce quality control measures and procedures to monitor all stages of production, from raw materials sourcing to finished product distribution.
  3. Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess compliance with quality standards, food safety regulations, and internal policies.
  4. Lead investigations into quality incidents, non-conformances, and customer complaints, implementing corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
  5. Collaborate closely with production, procurement, and other relevant departments to address quality issues and drive process improvements.
  6. Provide training and guidance to staff on quality-related matters, ensuring awareness and adherence to quality standards and protocols.
  7. Manage relationships with suppliers and third-party vendors to ensure the quality and integrity of incoming materials and services.
  8. Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory updates, and emerging technologies in food quality and safety, recommending and implementing enhancements as appropriate.
  9. Prepare and present quality reports and performance metrics to senior management, highlighting areas for improvement and opportunities for optimization.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology or related field. A Master's degree would be advantageous.
  • Proven experience 2+ years in a similar quality management role within the food industry, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001, HACCP, BRC, etc.) and relevant food safety regulations (EU regulations, FSSC 22000, etc.).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail and the ability to drive data-driven decision-making.
