Job Title: Supply Planner

(Fixed Term Contract - 1 year)

Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Supply Planner to join their team. As a Supply Planner, you will be responsible for ensuring that our organisation maintains an adequate supply of materials, goods, and services to meet our production and customer demand needs. You will work closely with suppliers, production teams, and other internal departments to develop and implement effective supply chain strategies and processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimize inventory levels and meet customer demand requirements.
  • Manage supplier relationships, including negotiation of contracts, monitoring supplier performance, and resolving any issues or conflicts that arise.
  • Monitor inventory levels and identify potential shortages or excesses, taking appropriate action to ensure that stock levels are maintained at optimal levels.
  • Analyze demand forecasts and adjust supply plans accordingly.
  • Work closely with production teams to ensure that materials and goods are available in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Collaborate with other internal departments to ensure that supply chain activities are aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Prepare and present reports on supply chain performance, identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations for process improvements.
  • Develop and implement contingency plans to minimize the impact of supply chain disruptions.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations governing supply chain activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (3 years+) in supply chain management, with a focus on supply planning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers, production teams, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with supply chain management software and tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing supply chain activities.
