Job Title: Technical/ Quality Manager - Food Manufacturing
Location: Waterford
Our client are a leading food manufacturing company committed to delivering high-quality products to their consumers. With a focus on innovation, sustainability, and excellence, they take pride in their contributions to the food industry in Ireland.
Job Description: As a Quality Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the food manufacturing processes adhere to the highest standards of quality and safety. Based in Waterford, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain robust quality management systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee quality assurance procedures to guarantee compliance with industry regulations (BRC) and internal standards
- Conduct regular audits of manufacturing processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
- Collaborate with production teams to establish and maintain quality control measures throughout the entire production cycle
- Manage and lead a team of quality assurance professionals, providing guidance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, ensuring the quality of raw materials and ingredients
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to product quality, implementing preventive measures where necessary
- Provide training to staff on quality standards, ensuring a comprehensive understanding across all levels of the organization
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Quality Management, or a related field
- Proven experience in a quality management role within the food manufacturing industry
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and quality management systems
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic manufacturing environment
