We are recruiting a Facilities & Utilities Engineer, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of maintenance activities for Facilities and Utilities across 2 sites. Reporting directly to the Head of Engineering, you'll manage Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation maintenance, supporting the company's critical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate day-to-day maintenance of facilities.
  • Report incidents promptly to the Facility Lead.
  • Manage procurement processes and gas delivery arrangements.
  • Perform various maintenance tasks, including changing light bulbs and fitting safety equipment.
  • Conduct monthly fire safety equipment audits and address any issues.
  • Ensure compliance with legionella risk assessments and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with staff to meet facility needs in labs and office areas.
  • Support the Facilities Lead in vendor management and contractor administration.
  • Schedule maintenance jobs with external subcontractors.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance visits and service reports.
  • Conduct regular facility plant walkdowns to identify and address issues proactively.
  • Assist in setting up furniture and seating for events.
  • Uphold a safe and healthy work environment.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Essential: Over 3 years' experience in cGMP Pharmaceutical Operations and Drug Substance Biologics manufacturing.
  • Advantageous: Experience in Vaccine manufacturing and Advanced Therapeutics.
  • Preferable: Aseptic operations experience.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts and respond to plant emergencies as needed.
  • Demonstrated experience in equipment maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with problem-solving tools such as 5 Whys and DMAIC.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to take on varied tasks in a startup environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Degree in a related engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
